Want to learn more about the people “Behind the Numbers”? Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan, one of our accountants who manages tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll processing for many of our clients.
With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from CSU, Fresno, Bryan has been at All About Numbers since 2002 and just happens to be married to our owner Laura.
When he's not at work he's probably busy caring for the 8 horses, 4 dogs, 4 cats, and a fish that the couple shares. Aside from working with animals, Bryan takes full advantage of the outstanding fishing in the local areas, working one of the local reservoirs or the Delta for his next big catch. Bryan says "I've competed in area Bass tournaments since 1999, when I fished my first tournament. I have been hooked (pun intended) ever since."
Bryan has been involved with accounting to some degree in every job he's had since graduating college. He credits the accounting courses he took while earning his business degree with first sparking his interest in the field. Today, however, it's the interaction with clients that keeps him going.
"I really enjoy the variety of clients that I serve," says Bryan. "I have a diverse group of business owners that I get to work with both at my office and onsite at their offices and shops. That keeps things very interesting."
When asked about a story that stands out to him, Bryan told of a recent situation when he discovered that a client's new business was located in a designated Enterprise Zone. This qualified the business owner to have 50% of the first year's wages for some of his new hires converted to a tax credit, saving tens of thousands of dollars in the first year alone. This credit continues in future years, meaning that this client will likely not pay State personal income taxes for many years to come.
Bryan is an integral part of the team here at All About Numbers. The dedication and attention he provides to each of his clients represent the standard that we strive to offer to every single one of our customers.
